Hello and happy holidays to all! Hemingway is still going strong. His eye issue is still a concern but he is much more active than the late summer or early fall and eating well. Always a positive. Callie is now in her new home 2 months as of January 1st, 2012 and it is slow going with the socializaiton. She is slowly warming up enough where she will at least come close to me to get to her food and water. We play a lot together which is helping her warm up to me. Yes I know that does not seem like much but when a cat or dog is born and not in contact with humans after 6 to 8 weeks old, the older they get the longer the transition is. Then depending on their personality, the transition can be short or much longer.
We did have a bit of a set back when last week we tried to catch her to be brought to the Vet for her check up and spaying. We were not succesful and boy oh boy did she hide for a week. Callie was so tramatized that it is now slow going as not to make her feel suspicious of my actions.
Wishes for a happy, healthy and peaceful 2012 to all my followers ^..^
