The Mission

Being an animal lover my whole life, my hope is to do my part in raising awareness on the issue of animal homelessness and to give back to my community.....

"Compassion for animals is intimately connected with goodness of character; and it may be confidently asserted that he who is cruel to animals cannot be a good man." ~ Arthur Schopenhauer

No Luck Getting Hemingway To The Vet

Tried several times today, Saturday, to catch Hemingway as he is getting worse.  He has a upper respiratory infection besides his right eye that has been an a major concern as it is all cloudy.  He cannot see from the eye and I believe the upper respiratory infection is causing further issues with his right eye.

Here is a picture of our Hemingway also known as Grandpa with his guardian Slick.  I truly hope we can catch Grandpa and get him to the Vet on Monday.  In this picture from April 2011 you can see his eye already was cloudy.

Hemingway Update

Our Hemingway, Grandpa, has not been feeling well over the past few weeks.  His age seems to have really caught up with him and I can only hope we will be able to provide him with comfort through this difficult time.  Even though Hemingway has gotten use to us he has not let go of his feral ways which is fear of people.  He will let us feed him up close but  that is the extent of how close we can get to him.  He does know he has a safe home, people who care and love him.  You can see the appreciation in his eyes and expression.  Hemingway is loved by all the adopted kitties and it is beautiful to see how they all gather around to care for him.  I will upload more pictures to show the bond between several of the adopted kitties and Hemingway.  To watch them all and see how in nature they all come together is precious.  If only we could all learn from our animal children.
